Jenny Durkan is known for successful criminal and civil litigation, and for her continued civic leadership. Ms. Durkan is not just respected for obtaining favorable verdicts and multi-million dollar settlements, but also for her ability to resolve sensitive cases discreetly.

Formerly the Governor’s Executive Counsel, she chaired the Attorney General’s Consumer Privacy Task Force, co-chaired the U.S. District Judge selection committee, served on the Seattle Police Firearms Review Board and on the Mayor’s panel on police practices. Ms. Durkan taught Trial Advocacy at the UW Law School and serves on the WSBA Board of Governors.

She is a founding board member for the University of Washington’s Center for Women and Democracy. She recently worked with the Center and the National Democratic Institute doing political training in Morocco. She mentors local high school students and loves gardening and sports.
